Ratu Aji Bidara Putih was a single queen of a prosperous kingdom near Mahakam river, east Kalimantan. She was a queen whose beauty was famous throughout asia. As many kings and princes had offered themselves to be her husband, Ratu Aji kept rejecting them all due to her loyalty towards her people.
One day, a handsome prince from China asked Ratu Aji for marriage, bringing countless treasures, soldiers and ships as an offering. Ratu Aji didn't reject him straight away, she offered him to stay at her kingdom for several days, while asking her uncle to spy on the prince. When it turns out that the prince was actually a were-wild boar, Ratu Aji rejected him. The Chinese prince was furious and commanded his soldiers to slaughter the people of Mahakam. Ratu Aji was even more furious. She chewed a betel leaf, and through her powers, the betel leaf transformed into millions of giant centipedes, killing the Chinese soldiers and sinking their fleet along with their treasures.
